Queensland Academy for Science Mathematics and Technology (QASMT) offers a world class education and comprehensive curriculum with a focus on an exemplary science, mathematics and technology program. QASMT is one of three Queensland Academy campuses, with each campus offering a specialty study focus that provides a smooth pathway to courses at partner universities. Queensland Academy for Science Mathematics and Technology uses the internationally recognised International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum and grading system. This is especially beneficial for students who may wish to study abroad in the future.

QASMT’s outstanding academic records positioned the Academy perfectly to present a modern, refreshed brand to compete with the most acclaimed schools in the region. The addition of Year 7 classes to the school in 2019 also presented a need to refine the campaign messaging to attract enrolments. There was also a need to improve brand clarity and make the logo work better across all mediums: print, online, uniforms, marketing, advertising and brand materials.

Viabrand conducted thorough discovery and research sessions. We determined strengths, opportunities and areas for improvement of the brand. Our team researched the competing schools and the potential customers. Our team presented options for name and logo refresh, brand promise, campaign messaging and above the line and below the line marketing concepts. A suite of colours, typography, photographic mood board, logo and design elements was established to improve clarity and consistency of communications. Marketing examples provided included outdoor advertising, prospectus, digital marketing and concepts for events.
