One of three Queensland Academy Campuses, Queensland Academies for Science Mathematics and Technology (QASMT) engaged Viabrand to undertake a brand refresh to match their world-class education offering.
QASMT have an unrivalled reputation for their focus on science, mathematics and technology for capable senior school students. The campus is located just 5km from Brisbane CBD in the suburb of Toowong and attracts students from all over Brisbane.
The school has a clear vision to nurture excellence and foster global citizenship for an ever-changing world. This is done in a variety of ways but they are most proud of the outstanding pastoral care system that aims to support every student and make them feel a part of the QASMT ‘family’. The school’s outstanding academic success is a testament to these foundations.
With this in mind, the Academy felt the need to present an enhanced brand perception to remain competitive with the most acclaimed schools in the region.
The rebranding process with QASMT involved research, strategy and positioning, name refresh concepts, iconography, logo creation, marketing concepts, stationery, prospectus, and premises signage branding. The end-to-end process ensured the visual identity of the brand was supported with strategic purpose.
Viabrand approached the project with our proven 3-step process framework, commencing with an in-depth discovery process. Our team met with QASMT extensively to discover the objectives and ascertain the refresh successful metrics. Thorough research about the academy was carried out after the initial discovery session to identify competitors and target market to further understand how to position the academy as a leader with world-class education standards.
The next phase of strategy allowed us to formulate a plan that would not only improve clarity in the way they communicated but also create better resonance with consumers and increase brand awareness. In the visual phase, our team created appealing visual language. This, accompanied by strategically written copy, ensured we engaged the target market: prospective parents and students.
The finished product has not only raised awareness for QASMT, but has made them look like the true, leading educational institution. The outcome of this has since been translated into enrolments.
